Bar church is not really that new or different. It’s just about stripping away a lot religious and “Christiany” things that often go along with church, so you’re left with something simple and real. If you can go into a bar, and experience God, then you can experience God anywhere. Our emphasis is on who God is, rather than who we are. It’s easy for people to get confused and try to use God to build themselves a nice comfortable church, but instead, God wants to use people to build His Church. Sometimes this means giving up some of the control and strategizing, and just doing the simple but difficult things Jesus taught. We need to remember that church is not about us, or about you.  It’s about God.
